Application
Example: Aragonite
Aragonite
is a polymorphic modification of calcium carbonate (CaCO3).
The sample tested here was a crystal with slight impurities
on the surface (exothermal peaks at 461 and 490°C). Due to the
impurities the mass loss during carbonate decomposition (43.71%)
is lower than the stoichiometrically calculated value (43.97%).
