Iris, from Greek mythology the messenger of the gods, gives its name to an instrument which combines advanced technical design with practicality and ease of operation.

The following features distinguish the NETZSCH TG 209 C Iris®:

Temperature range: (10) 20 to 1000¡C,

high heating and cooling rates (high sample throughput),

effective resolution 1 µg (internal: 0.1 µg),

easy handling,

automatic sample changer TG 209 C - ASC (option),

capable coupling to FT-IR and/or MS (option), PulseTA® (option) or
  GC,

c-DTA® (calculated DTA signal, option),

Super-Res® (rate-controlled mass change, option),

and much more.

These are the steps to conducting a TG measurement with the Iris
®.

Data acquisition and evaluation is made using the universal NETZSCH Proteus® Software. Proteus® utilizes Windows 95, 98 or NT as the operating system. It is a full 32 bit program with enhanced features.

NETZSCH offers precision thermal analysis instruments including advanced dilatometers (with a new basic R&D/QC dilatometer), classical DSC & TGA (with a new economical DSC), high temperature DSC to 1650°C for specific heat, very high temperature STA (TGA-DSC/DTA) to 2400°C (featuring the new STA 409-PC Luxx®), thermal / evolved gas analysis with fully-integrated FTIR & MS, plus high resolution TMA and DMA. We also feature leading technology for thermal conductivity and diffusivity measurement as well as refractories testing including HMOR, CIC, and RUL.
